What? How is this a report? Cam Skattebo is the starter/main guy. Tyrone Tracy is a very solid #2. Devin Singletary is an excellent, cost effective #3.
Why in the world would the Giants chase another RB? They could’ve signed someone months ago...they could’ve drafted someone months ago...IF they really wanted/needed another RB. This makes zero sense.
-- HEADLINE: Packers coach Matt LaFleur said it’s “realistic” that Tucker Kraft (knee) will take part in the joint practice against the Cardinals later this month.
This would be a big step...and would scare me as a Kraft owner. He’s pushing himself back SO fast...too fast. He’s putting himself at risk of not fully healing and/or returning with limited athleticism, unwittingly. I pray they hold him out of that joint practice, for his own good...for the sake of logical asset management.
-- HEADLINE: Falcons signed G Matthew Bergeron to a four-year, $96 million contract extension.
A young (26), solid B-/C+ kinda guard...this is a nice payday for a ‘decent’ guard. But I saw the $60M guaranteed and decided to go see where that ranks among all the Falcons--he’s the top paid Falcon if you focus on real/guaranteed money. Wow.
I agree, you have to invest in the O-Line...but you don’t have to way overspend.
-- HEADLINE: Vikings OC Wes Phillips complimented RB Jordan Mason for losing weight this offseason. Mason stands 5'11” and his weight is variously listed between 223-230 source-to-source.
My comment: Very interesting.
When extra big guys with solid RB gifts lean up to then just ‘big’ they theoretically get faster while still being ‘big’. Soemthing I wanna see what it looks like in the preseason games but will likely never get to see as KOC probably holds out the vets form any game work, smartly.
