6/1 MON
(8:11amET)
Today/tomorrow
-- The month of June is Draft Guide prep and reporting season. It’s pushed back a little bit from usual time ranges due to the Schedule release being so much later this year.
What we have coming up this week (besides us researching schedules and player projections and writing commentaries for the overall Draft Guide...
* This is Draft Guide early release items week...the vaunted/critical Undervalued (UV), Overvalued (OV), and Deep Sleeper (DS) report players/commentaries will slow release/drop all week along more DG items. WED/THU start to things.
*A new/special ‘Top 10 Players for FF 2026’ series of reports from Ross Jacobs will drop this week and run as a 10-day daily series. This series will also begin this week...a THU/FRI launch, a series exclusively for the Draft Guide.
-- A ‘Strength of Schedule’ light reporting, daily series begins today...more of that in RC’s Note sections below.
-- Miscellaneous reports on things that come my way and more scouting reports to come. I have a backlog of them to get published already.
-- Dynasty, Best Ball, and DRD rankings updates later in the week.
-- Discord notifications launch TUE/WED.
We’ve been testing notifications...and they go through fine, but I was not inputting the ‘@everyone’ label that needs to go at the end of every notification/post (which is the trigger that sends the notifications to all people who have joined the server/thing), so the notifications posted to the server/page we have BUT no one was getting actual alerts/notifications to their devices!!
It’s a new process...and I’m an old dog trying to incorporate a new trick to my routine. My bad.
I’m gonna go through a few more days of testing/doing the messages right and seeing that everyone is getting them OK and can easily dictate how they want their notifications by their own account.
I thought the testers were being quiet because everything was fine, but it was that they weren’t getting the notifications!
This Week’s/Month’s Agenda…
-- 2026 Draft Guide studies.
-- DRD rankings will now settle into once a week (min.) publishing the DRD top 300+ updates and adding/updating commentaries, etc. Likely every THU or FRI the rest of the preseason.
-- Dynasty and Best Ball rankings audits/updates daily/weekly.
-- Holy series QB and RB done. Holy RB Handcuffs underway (on hold for draft, since we’re this close)
-- Full scouting reports on various prospects from now until the NFL preseason. Deeper looks at Cyrus Allen and more all on deck.
-- Any FFM News & Notes or Special Reports during the day as I get them.
-- New coaching staff hire’s analysis series...trying to slot/schedule this. Once The Draft Guide is set, I hope to turn to this.
== NEWS & NOTES & Xs ==
-- HEADLINE/S: Miami Herald’s Omar Kelly said Dolphins WR Malik Washington “seems to be grasping Miami’s playbook faster than the rest of his fellow receivers.”
Miami Herald’s Omar Kelly reports that Dolphins TE has been one of the team’s top performers at organized team activities.
No duh...the veterans (for this young team) receivers get the offense quicker than the others most of whom are attending their first real (kinda) practices in the NFL? Shocking.
The starting trio of WRs is set to be:
Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell on the outside, and the most talented of the group in the slot = Malik Washington. I expect Atwell to also be decent (NFL-wise) in this offense, but I won’t swear to it until I see it in July/August.

-- HEADLINE: Bills WR DJ Moore said he is having “growing pains” while adjusting to his new team’s offensive scheme, but he believes things will be “perfect later on.”
Such Amari Cooper ‘in the career fall/fade’ vibes for me with DJM. I could be wrong, but I didn’t like what I saw, along with many other people seeing it, with DJM’s effort last year...not a big believer in this year it somehow changes. It’s just a gut feeling from watching him the past two years.
-- HEADLINE: ESPN’s Mike Reiss reports that Patriots WR DeMario Douglas took the first rep for every positional drill at organized team activities on Wednesday.
This is some kind of news out of OTAs, except...we all already knew this was coming...or I did, when Mike Vrabel said he was tasking the coaches to start featuring/involving ‘Pop’ (Douglas). So, the coaches are following the orders.
The other side of this is: my long-lost love, Kyle Williams is nowhere to be found as a taken-seriously starter option.
But none of this probably matters when New England announces they’ve acquired A.J. Brown from Philly today/this week. The starting WR group for NE will be: AJB, Doubs, Hollins most likely.
== QUOTES & QUOTABLES (pulled from an internet A.I. search, I try to make sure it’s accurate but some of it is ‘trust in AI’) ==
-- According to John Shipley of Sports Illustrated, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington has continued to impress during the team's OTAs and is set to play the "most important role" of his young career during the upcoming season. According to Shipley, Washington has made a strong case to be named the team's OTAs MVP as he continues to find success in this offense.

Well, we tried to keep it quiet. But... https://youtu.be/x30fYiwKm4U?si=9u4UqDPciYUuA8-L
-- (Pewter report): “As good of a week as [Emeka] Egbuka had catching the ball, I was told that [Jalen McMillan] was slightly better.” With other reports saying that McMillan has been getting tons reps at all 3 WR spots, and could start at the X, it seems like he may be primed to bounce back from last year’s scary neck injury.
RC NOTE: OK, I’ll buy your Egbuka shares at a discount then...
-- Via Jason La Canfora for SportsBoom:
One general manager, who is not involved in the process but has been in contact with several parties who are, said: “I hear it’s New England for a 2028 first-round pick. He’s a good football player, but that’s a helluva deal for (Eagles GM) Howie (Roseman).” […] Another general manager, who said he was unsure of the compensation but expected Brown to be with New England by the end of the week, said, “It’s getting done. Howie is ready to put this behind him.”
-- (YAHOO) The Cardinals ended up drafting Love third overall, one pick ahead of the Titans, so it’s unknown whether Tennessee would have drafted Love.
Pollard was unbothered by talk of the Titans taking his replacement.
“I know in this league, it’s their job to try to replace you,” Pollard said, via Nick Suss of The Tennessean. “That’s what comes with the business. To be honest, I wasn’t really paying attention to it. Not much. I’d seen it, but I’ve got a wife and three kids and my wife’s pregnant, so I’ve got a lot of things that keep me occupied.”

NEW for JUNE: 2026 Strength of Schedule analysis according to FFM!
I am putting my data into GEMINI and letting it do two things...do my calculations for me on our internal NFL-based ‘Strength of Schedule’...which takes a ton of things into consideration like our current win-loss projections for all teams 2026, analysis on weather, and travel, and BYE week impacts, etc.
I’m doing a slow burn for some daily fun/fare, BUT I’m also running my AI writer/creation AI_McGillicuddy1 to take all my data and guidance/notes and then make a report on the schedule as if he is an expert schedule analyzer (with our data) and then writes it in his comedic way that I constructed him to be like...a Frankenstein writer, half robot/half football writer/comedian.
We’ll add a team’s strength of schedule per day until we’re done. But we’ll begin with the first two, to get us started, the A’s group and then their quick schedule analysis reports from AI_McGillicuddy1 will hit during the day.
How we evaluate the SOS is a winning percentage (like everyone else), but ours is weighted for certain factors on top of our own internal projections for 2026 season strength of the 32 teams. The higher the % above .500, the tougher the schedule and vice-versa
Our FFM Internal SOS for 2026, current:
0.5798 = Arizona Cardinals (may go wire-to-wire as the toughest...I don’t know at this point, I am working/studying on one-a-day...but this one is wicked for AZ)
0.5311 = Atlanta Falcons
