-- I think Javonte Williams will be held out of their Week 5 game v. NYJ/4pmET...just based on my intel. It’s possible he is active but held back for either reserve or just lightly used in a rotation.

Denver plays again on TNF v. KC, so it may be all hands on deck for that one...and hoping to get Javonte right for that.

Also, this JW injury allows Sean Payton to push Jaleel McLaughlin as a Kyren Williams to spark the offense...the new age RB vs. old age plodder/heavy. I fear the worst for Javonte ahead – no longer the lead RB on a bad team...soon-to-be an RBBC member on a bad team. But it’s mostly speculation on my part.

-- Saquon Barkley out... Matt Breida is ‘something’...should get 10+ touches against a bad Miami defense...but also a broken NYG O-Line. Not much, but getting touches at least.

-- Jonathan Taylor should get a decent workload, as much as he can take, Week 5...it’s just they’re facing the Titans, so that’s a bad matchup for a 1st-game back. I don’t think he’ll be limited much by his coaches as much as by the Titans. But unless you have better options, I think he’s useful this week.

Just like Alvin Kamara barreled in just fine last week off a 3-game suspension.

The relationship is fixed, so I think they’ll try to get Taylor a TD if they can. Hard to sit Taylor.

-- Cooper Kupp practicing in full...you have to assume he goes right back into his normal routine. He is ‘the guy’. Kupp and Stafford have a special connection.

-- Davante Adams is likely to go on MNF but be sure to have a Plan B ready from that game. If you have guys on a BYE week you can drop quickly/painlessly for any LV-GB player, you’re good. Otherwise, you might have to think about a plan in advance if you don’t have an LV-GB player on hold naturally.

In the same vein, in redraft especially, it is not critical you hold any kicker at all costs anymore...but I love Carlson’s talent – however, low attempts all year and now playing MNF. Why risk waiting to find out Carlson got COVID or something Monday and be screwed out of a kicker at the last second...when there are still good kickers available and they’re kicking safely on Sunday?

Daniel’s brother Anders/GB is an option last second...unless your opponent sees the issue first and takes him out on you.

Likely this scenario/s are never going to materialize, but just thinking ahead...and that Carlson is not a must hold kicker in 2023, right now.

-- The Saints quietly released Tony Jones, so it’s definitely Kendre Miller as the backup. When Jamaal Williams returns in a few weeks...he’ll be a limited 3rd-down blocker. If AK goes down...it’s Kendre time, you have to (highly) assume.

-- The Texans keep getting healthier...two key OLs returning this week. Houston was already rolling prior...this helps. So many bettors are playing Atlanta this week because they don’t think Houston is real. I beg to differ...and Atlanta sucks.

My only HOU fear is...which WR, if any, does A.J. Terrell chase Dell or Collins? The answer to that question could wipe out one of them...or neither.

-- I would bet, early Sunday morning, that Justice Hill is out today...and then Keaton Mitchell is 50/50 to be activated. I think Mitchell will not be activated...and they’ll go with Gus-Gordon-Drake. But we’ll see. If KMitch is activated, it says a lot for what Harbaugh thinks about him if active...pushing him already.

-- Aaron Jones should be fine for MNF. He was fine last week, just GB got blown out against a top run defense.

-- Jahmyr Gibbs and ARSB out...a lot of David Montgomery and I like Kalif Raymond more and more...and he could have legs IF the ARSB injury is worse than we’re being told. Jameson Williams is not an answer.

-- JAX v. BUF notes from London...

Calvin Ridley is overdue for a nice game...and BUF minus Tre’Davious White helps.

JAX gets top OL Cam Robinson back from suspension.

Dalton Kincaid ran a ton of routes last week, and Dawson Knox a little amount...the shift is happening...but it’s slow...but happening.

Buffalo has a weak run defense...a lot of Etienne/Bigsby coming...unless the Bills take them out of the flow by blowing them out right away.

Weather is fine for this game.
