Add Intro: Now, more featuring my (RC) news and notes from the day's/week's discussions and/or studies...
Old Intro: Whenever I come across any football news reports/articles in my research or sent to me by FFMers that I think are interesting or back up/contradict/debate things I've discussed, I'd like to share them for extra/interesting reading material...and have them put into the archives so if you you are researching things about a player or situation, you can search it on the FFM site and it's part of the arsenal for your research.
It will be mostly reports on players/situations not as discussed nationally (but could be from national/big media sites), but are (hopefully) relevant to Dynasty/Fantasy/Handicapping purposes as we go...with the occasional item that I just thought was interesting in general about anything football related.
Here's what I have for this day (noting the players/situation discussed for future archive search purposes with a link to the article):

-- The Patriots looking at Darrell Henderson and Leonard Fournette
Two quick thoughts on these guys…
1) How far has Leonard Fournette fallen in the NFL world?
I think there’s some respect/like for Fournette and Belichick/NE, so I think Fournette could find his way there and that will cool off Rhamondre Stevenson’s ADP/heat.
There really won’t be any major desire for Fournette in the NFL with Elliott and Hunt and Cook out there, among whatever other guys may become available.
2) DHendo had a look in KC a few weeks ago, and now NE…so, we’ll see if it’s him that is chosen -- but the Pats must be serious about adding more RB bodies. It doesn’t bode well for their feelings on Pierre Strong…or Kevin Harris. Why did they draft those two guys last year?

The Giants added two names:
1) James Robinson…all the Saquon Barkley fallout pushes the Giants to scramble together Plan Bs.
It’s stunning to me that a billion dollar business like an NFL football team, run by people making 7-figure salaries per year to plan operations, and with Saquon Barkley entering a free agency year (after they tagged him) and with a Saquon career of him missing half his time with injuries -- you would think the 7-figure planners would have been planning contingencies at RB, just in case on the salary/contract front …and ‘what if Saquon gets hurt again’?
The Giants added Matt Breida last year and drafted Eric Gray…two RBs not like Saquon. NYG could’ve had a field day drafting day-three RBs or signing bigger (physically), cheap RBs in free agency, since they are a Saquon-centric offense. Instead, they signed 47 WRs and traded for Darren Waller and paid all the money to Daniel Jones. All that ensures is the Giants will be ‘good’ as a ceiling/at-best for the next 1-2 years. They aren’t going to the next level in a Daniel Jones-led offense. There is no real Plan B in this Saquon-centric/dependent offense.
Now, they’ve made Saquon an enemy temporarily…or permanently…on the contract front. Now, they have to be careful what they add to reinforce the RB group…so, they dip a toe in the water and add James Robinson. JRob 2021 would be a sweet add…but JRob 2023 with Lisfranc issues, and all other teams ditching him, is probably not a sweet signing.
2) Cole Beasley added…GREAT another WR…just what the Giants needed! Why he’s there, I have no idea…operationally. He’s friends with Daboll and the GM from their Bills’ days. Maybe he’s getting a look as a future WR coach?
In other RB news, the Ravens put J.K. Dobbins on the PUP list and added Melvin Gordon. It’s curious…
If the Ravens were just looking for a camp body RB, they could’ve signed any Joe-Schmoe but they added a veteran wanting to be back playing in the league. A guy who kinda thinks he’s above being a camp body. Then, they put Dobbins to PUP…why? It makes you think back to the choppy 2022 with JKD hurt, not hurt, out, re-surgery, etc.
I’m not saying anything is wrong with JKD now…but it’s a smidge weird that he’s on the PUP already and a semi-name RB was signed.
