2022 Week 6 NFL Handicapping: All Picks ATS and Survivor Pool Pick

An OK/weak Week 5 result for FFM…Bet The Close Chris is staying pretty hot, you should keep following his picks over anyone's right now. He's dialed in, and is the real expert deep in the handicapping game -- and you should listen to his podcast if you're into football betting things.

I really felt good about last week's top picks…and they all flopped…teams won but didn't cover. This week, I hate everything…which probably means it will be a great week. Seriously, I (RC) and the FFM computer models are not excited about any one thing at this moment.

I'll probably just take a powder this week and sit it out and see what transpires. Although, I'll probably put something light on CHI for TNF for fun…and probably find something small to bet on at week's end. Watch out for that thumb issue and Aaron Rodgers this week…might be nothing…might be something…it's a lot of points to lay for Green Bay.

Good luck in your betting this week!

Week 6 Picks….

NYJ at GB (-7.5)

The Computer says: GB by 3.4 (a 4.1 spread differential)

As of this writing, I'm not so sure Aaron Rodgers' thumb is 'no big deal'. I also don't know if the Packers deserve to be favored +7 to any NFL team right now. The Jets aren't great, but the Packers have been off/lacking all year…and eventually they'll click, but until I see it I'll be against them with this many points on the table.

Ross Jacobs:

DEN at LAC (-5.5)

The Computer says: LAC by 8.9 (a 3.4 spread differential)

Denver falling apart…the Chargers at home on a Monday night where they can really get their season re-started with a win -- I'll take the Chargers, even if for nothing more than worries about Russ's shoulder, on top of all the other issues.

Chris 'Bet The Close' Podcast: LAC

Ross Jacobs:

CAR at LAR (-10.0)

The Computer says: LAR by 6.6 (a 3.4 spread differential)

Change of coach, change of play calling flow, change of personnel flow -- a lot of curveballs for the Rams to prepare for. P.J. Walker has had two NFL starts…he's 2-0.

The Rams are banged up all over with no run game…I find it hard to believe they are a 10 point favorite over anybody.

Chris 'Bet The Close' Podcast: LAR *BEST BET*

Ross Jacobs:

NE at CLE (-2.5)   *Underdog outright win*

The Computer says: NE by 0.8 (a 3.3 spread differential)

If they keep letting Bailey Zappe get more comfortable, then things are gonna happen good for the Patriots. No Denzel Ward would be a big factor to help NE here too.

Chris 'Bet The Close' Podcast: NE

Ross Jacobs:

CIN (-1.5) at NO

The Computer says: CIN by 4.8 (a 3.3 spread differential)

Bengals bounce back from their tough Week 5 loss, as they handle a not-very-good Saints team who were lucky to sneak by Seattle. Marcus Lattimore out this game would be huge.

*FFM SURVIVOR PICK* I've already used all the top options…and I don't trust the Rams v. Carolina.

Chris 'Bet The Close' Podcast: CIN

Ross Jacobs:

DAL at PHI (-6.0)

The Computer says: PHI by 9.2 (a 3.2 spread differential)

I'll ride with the best team in football vs. Cooper Rush.

Chris 'Bet The Close' Podcast: PHI

Ross Jacobs:

MIN (-3.5) at MIA

The Computer says: MIN by 1.2 (a 2.3 spread differential)

If Terron Armstead starts practicing in full, I could switch to Miami here for an outright win in the Miami humid conditions but no Armstead and no Teddy or Tua has to lean to Minnesota.

Chris 'Bet The Close' Podcast: MIN

Ross Jacobs:

SF (-5.5) at ATL

The Computer says: SF by 3.3 (a 2.2 spread differential)

SF down a couple defenders after last week plus they might be minus Nick Bosa, which is a massive game changer. It'

Ross Jacobs:

WSH at CHI (PK)

The Computer says: CHI by 2.0 (a 2.0 spread differential)

TNF, at home at Chicago…I'll take the home team in a battle of two bad teams. TNF home teams are 3-2 YTD, if it means anything.

Chris 'Bet The Close' Podcast: CHI

Ross Jacobs:

TB (-8.0) at PIT

The Computer says: TB by 9.7 (a 1.7 spread differential)

It's still too soon to bet on the rookie QB and his terrible O-Line and terrible defense against Brady & Company, but why do I feel like TB might take them too lightly and let PIT hang around too close in this game…like last week with ATL?

Chris 'Bet The Close' Podcast: PIT

Ross Jacobs:

JAX at IND (-1.5)

The Computer says: IND by 0.3 (a 1.2 spread differential)

Nothing would surprise me in this game, but Jacksonville is due to play a decent/lucky game…so, I'll just take the points. And Indy has not impressed at all this year…and no JT means no thank you to Indy.

Chris 'Bet The Close' Podcast: IND

Ross Jacobs:

BAL (-5.5) at NYG

The Computer says: BAL by 4.6 (a 0.9 spread differential)

I can't stand the Giants, but that has gotten me a (1-4) record betting against them…so, I better get on board (which will mean, once I do get on board…they'll fall). A lot of points to a home NYG team that's (4-1).

Chris 'Bet The Close' Podcast: BAL

Ross Jacobs:

ARI (-2.5) at SEA

The Computer says: ARI by 2.2 (a 0.3 spread differential)

I wish I could have more confidence in Arizona, but on the road in a hostile environment…I don't trust Kyler. Murray is (3-3) in his career against Seattle…lost two of his last 3 against them.

Chris 'Bet The Close' Podcast: ARI

Ross Jacobs:

BUF (-2.5) at KC

The Computer says: BUF by 2.4 (a 0.1 spread differential)

Just like KC was on fire to take down Tampa Bay for a memorable loss to them from the past, I think we get uber-fired up Buffalo taking it at KC, which is coming off a short week. Still…2.5 points with KC at home, too much to give…no?
