A 12-part series, DRD mock drafting from each of the (typical) 12 draft spots to give an early idea the direction I'm heading early on in the post-NFL Draft process.

Using the FantasyPros rookie draft tool, which isn't great but is useful for this exercise…and reflects a good amount of the mainstream thinking. We can argue their ADPs, etc., but they're close/within a margin of error on their top 30-40-50…close enough.

The rules are – I HAVE TO make the pick. In reality, I want to trade out of the first round except in places where I think I can safely get Anthony Richardson, if QB is a need/asset to take for my situation.  I only have two real 'missions' in this year's 'sad' DRD (not as juicy as last year's DRD) -- I want Anthony Richardson AND Dalton Kincaid. If I can't get them in the draft, I'll work on it this summer via trade…or in August preseason month hysteria, etc.

*Article picture is from the movie 'Trading Places' -- when the main characters had manipulated the orange juice futures market and were doing some old-school stock market selling shares in the pit...which is what I see in this year's DRD: SELL-SELL-SELL (the picks)!! Sell them to the frenetic lovers of 'picks'.

1.1 Bijan Robinson

1.2 Jaxon Smith-Njigba

1.3 Jahmyr Gibbs

1.4 Quentin Johnston

1.5 Jordan Addison

1.6 Zay Flowers

1.7 Zach Charbonnet

1.8 Dalton Kincaid

1.9 Josh Downs

1.10 Bryce Young

1.11 Anthony Richardson

1.12 Kendre Miller -- FantasyPros has updated their system and added more rookies. Within that update, Kincaid is going top 10 a lot now. In this random mock -- Kincaid/Richardson both gone in front of me. I will settle on/for Kendre. I'd try to trade this pick in reality but am fine taking an RB who might hit the ground running quick if/when AK is suspended.

If you like Achane better in Miami…feel free.

---------------------------------------

2.1 C.J. Stroud

2.2 Devon Achane

2.3 Jonathan Mingo

2.4 Tyjae Spears

2.5 Jalin Hyatt

2.6 Michael Mayer

2.7 Israel Abanikanda

2.8 Marvin Mims

2.9 Tank Bigsby

2.10 Rashee Rice

2.11 Will Levis

2.12 Roschon Johnson -- Just to mix up, instead of taking Chase Brown like I usually do here. Roschon landed in a pretty decent spot and was drafted 4th-round, so some draft stock.

---------------------------------------

3.1 Zach Evans

3.2 Chase Brown

3.3 Jayden Reed

3.4 Darnell Washington

3.5 Hendon Hooker

3.6 Kayshon Boutte

3.7 Sean Tucker

3.8 Sam LaPorta

3.9 Cedric Tillman

3.10 Luke Musgrave

3.11 Evan Hull

3.12 Michael Wilson -- LaPorta/Musgrave gone from consideration (and not getting Kincaid earlier), so I take my top-rated WR.

---------------------------------------

4.1 DeWayne McBride

4.2 Luke Schoonmaker

4.3 Tank Dell

4.4 Xavier Hutchinson

4.5 Tyler Scott

4.6 C. Rodriguez

4.7 Eric Gray

4.8 Will Mallory

4.9 Deuce Vaughn

4.10 A.T. Perry

4.11 Kenny McIntosh

4.12 Charlie Jones -- My default 4th-round pick of late. Can he be Cooper Kupp-ish, or is he too small to pull it off?

---------------------------------------

5.1 Parker Washington

5.2 Puka Nacua

5.3 Tre Tucker

5.4 Andrei Iosivas

5.5 Tucker Kraft

5.6 Mohamed Ibrahim

5.7 Rakim Jarrett

5.8 Dontayvion Wicks

5.9 Trey Palmer

5.10 Brenton Strange

5.11 Jake Haener

5.12 Adrian Martinez -- One last reach in the 5th-round of the DRD mock to spotlight the lesser knowns we like.

Martinez is discount brand Jalen Hurts…and he joins a Lions team that wants Hendon Hooker as the #2, but Hooker won't be ready for the summer or season really. Martinez has a runway this summer to show what he's got, and he's a Dan Campbell type player -- thick and tough, and he's the best running QB in this draft. He might even get moved to RB or WR if he can't make it at QB…but I think he could be interesting at QB, if they give him a chance. The NFL tried to hold back Hurts…so, they'll for sure ignore Martinez as much as they can -- but he has a shot to shine this summer.

If Martinez shows pout this summer AND Goff gets hurt in some way…Martinez could be in place to get the shot of a lifetime. A lot of steps to go in this journey.
