2022 RC’s Faux/Computer Simulated Season 1.0 (Weeks 16-18)
INTRO:
(Same intro everyday) Four analysts are running their own early models of the 2022 NFL season, as we know it today – looking at the current teams/rosters/starters/depth mixed with the schedule layout.
We will release the simulation results and short commentaries three weeks at a time (Weeks 1-3, 4-6, etc.) by each analyst daily -- and then each analyst will simulate their playoffs all the way up to crowning their early Super Bowl champ. This is pre-work looking for/searching and sharing possible great Over/Under win total bets ahead of the crowd.
The analysts have not seen each other’s simulations…they’ll be seeing them for the first time as the reports release daily for the next 12 days.
Your 2022 Faux 1.0 Analyst Lineup:
Ross Jacobs, FFM analyst (every 8am ET for the entire series)
Xavier Cromartie, long-time contributor/NFL Draft guru (every noonET)
Chris Bilello, Bet the Close Podcast (every 4pmET)
RC Fischer, FFM analyst (every 8pmET)
Hope you enjoy this two-week daily series…it’s all the analyst’s favorite project – one that totally consumes them and drives them mad working on it all, trying to predict the unpredictable…then a major injury will hit in July and/or August and blow all the theories and models all up. But for now, here’s what the analysts are seeing…
RC's Notes:
-- Buffalo (13-4) wins nine of their last 11 games to win the AFC East and tie for the top record in the AFC. The Pats (9-8) are one of four AFC teams to finish (9-8), but only one of them can get the final wild card spot.
One of those four is also the AFC East team that won their last four games in-a-row…the (9-8) NY Jets.
-- The Bengals (12-5) already clinched. The Ravens (9-8) have jumped into the final wild card spot hunt.
-- The Titans (9-8) pull out the AFC South again holding off Indy (8-9).
-- The Chargers (13-4) hold off KC (12-5) and DEN (11-6) to win the AFC West, and tie BUF for best AFC record.
Who is the AFC #1 seed? Which of NE-NYJ-BAL-IND got the final wild card? Find out tomorrow when the AFC playoffs begin with the wild card round.
-- Washington (9-8) catches Dallas (9-8) to tie for the NFC East title. The winner? Dallas ekes out the tiebreaker. Washington settles for the final wild card. Philly (8-9) misses out on the wild card and thus the fire Sirianni and ditch Hurts media swirl goes into high gear.
-- Green Bay (13-4) sneaks out with the NFC South title. Minnesota (12-5) is the top wild card.
-- Tampa Bay (11-6) cruises to the NFC South title, but are a #3 seed in the playoffs.
-- The Rams (12-5) pull out the NFC West over SF (11-6), but the 49ers are in as a wild card.
-- #1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft? Houston (4-13) slides in via tiebreaker over Jacksonville (4-13) and Chicago (4-13).
-- Tomorrow the playoffs begin with the AFC wild card round, followed the next day with the NFC wild card round as we build toward the Super Bowl.
