(same intro each day) I’m doing a daily series to determine what team I feel has the best pass game receivers in the NFL.

I was spurred to the idea when I saw a PFF similar ranking where they had the Eagles as the number one past game/receiver group. I knew that couldn’t be right, in my mind, so then I wondered who we might show as the best pass game/receiver team is in the NFL…maybe it is the Eagles? Thus, we’re here for a quick/fun tournament style series to determine just what team has that best receiver group in 2025.

We’re gonna start out going division by division putting matchups together based on the 2024 regular season standings. And we’re gonna go from division to the conference and onto the Super Bowl/our real winner.

How I’m going to determine a winner in a head-to-head matchup is in a best-of-seven style format, judging six different player matchups.

1) The first matchup in every series is the number one wide receiver head-to-head, BUT that battle is worth two points or two wins in the best of seven series. The number one WR is so critical and so important that it’s worth double any other match up.

2) The #2-3-4 matchups will be the team’s wide receivers after the number 1WR. So, who I think is the second best wide receiver versus the other team second best, then a battle of the third best, and then a battle of the fourth best wide receiver to show the depth of a team’s receiver group.

3) After we pit all the wide receivers against each other -- then it’s a look at the #1 Tight Ends against each other.

4) Then, lastly, if needed, it’s a matchup of who I think is each team‘s best receiving running back.

So, a total of six matchups but the first one counting double or seven possible points or wins, and the best of seven winning team moves on to the next round/match up.

Not going to give much commentary here, just showing the results and moving the teams on. These are my personal choices, so if you don’t like it... I don’t need to say the rest.

=============================

Giants v. Rams

Malik Nabers d. Puka Nacua (NYG 2-0)...Puka is great, but Nabers may be THEE best in the biz.

Davante Adams d. Darius Slayton (NYG 2-1)

Jaylin Hyatt d. Tutu Atwell (NYG 3-1)

Jordan Whittington d. Wan’Dale Robinson (NYG 3-2)

Tyler Higbee d. Theo Johnson (3-3 tie)

Tyrone Tracy d. Kyren Williams (NYG 4-3 win)

A slight shocker! Several questionable/close calls but I do think Nabers deserves the big bump over Puka...but I almost made it a tie. I think Hyatt and Whittington are very undervalued WRs. The G-Men advance!

Bucs v. Lions

Mike Evans d. Amon-Ra St. Brown (1-1 tie)...I’m calling this a tie; both are so good but different styles so let’s honor both.

Jameson Williams d. Chris Godwin (2-1 DET)

Emeka Egbuka d. Isaac TeSlaa (2-2 tie)

Jalen McMillan d. Tim Patrick (3-2 TB)

Sam LaPorta d. Cade Otton (3-3 tie)

Rachaad White d. Jahmyr Gibbs (4-3 TB win)...the ultimate ‘closer’ in this tournament is Rachaad.

The Bucs make it to the NFC Finals to face the Giants.

Giants v. Bucs

Malik Nabers d. Mike Evans (NYG 2-0)...Nabers takes down the Hall of Famer, but keep in mind this is a 2025 battle...and I’d take Nabers every time in 2025.

Chris Godwin d. Darius Slayton (NYG 2-1)

Emeka Egbuka d. Wan’Dale Robinson (2-2 tie)

Jalen McMillan d. Jaylin Hyatt (TB 3-2)...Hyatt might be better, but McMillan is good too and has shown the output ability...while Hyatt has been more benched than not -- so a lean to McMillan in a battle of similar WRs.

Cade Otton d. Theo Johnson (TB wins 4-2)

Rachaad White d. Tyrone Tracy (TB wins 5-2)

The Buccaneers go on to the Super Bowl/finale to face the Dolphins in a battle of Florida teams.
