(same intro each day) I’m doing a daily series to determine what team I feel has the best pass game receivers in the NFL.

I was spurred to the idea when I saw a PFF similar ranking where they had the Eagles as the number one past game/receiver group. I knew that couldn’t be right, in my mind, so then I wondered who we might show as the best pass game/receiver team is in the NFL…maybe it is the Eagles? Thus, we’re here for a quick/fun tournament style series to determine just what team has that best receiver group in 2025.

We’re gonna start out going division by division putting matchups together based on the 2024 regular season standings. And we’re gonna go from division to the conference and onto the Super Bowl/our real winner.

How I’m going to determine a winner in a head-to-head matchup is in a best-of-seven style format, judging six different player matchups.

1) The first matchup in every series is the number one wide receiver head-to-head, BUT that battle is worth two points or two wins in the best of seven series. The number one WR is so critical and so important that it’s worth double any other match up.

2) The #2-3-4 matchups will be the team’s wide receivers after the number 1WR. So, who I think is the second best wide receiver versus the other team second best, then a battle of the third best, and then a battle of the fourth best wide receiver to show the depth of a team’s receiver group.

3) After we pit all the wide receivers against each other -- then it’s a look at the #1 Tight Ends against each other.

4) Then, lastly, if needed, it’s a matchup of who I think is each team‘s best receiving running back.

So, a total of six matchups but the first one counting double or seven possible points or wins, and the best of seven winning team moves on to the next round/match up.

Not going to give much commentary here, just showing the results and moving the teams on. These are my personal choices, so if you don’t like it... I don’t need to say the rest.

====================

 .

Broncos v. Dolphins

Tyreek Hill d. Courtland Sutton (MIA 2-0)

Marvin Mims d. Jaylen Waddle (MIA 2-1)...I’d rather have Mims than Waddle for my pass game/offense...easily.

DeVaughn Vele d. Malik Washington (2-2 tie)

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine d. Pat Bryant (MIA 3-2)...NWI is more experienced and proven, and solid.

Evan Engram d. Darren Waller (3-3 tie)

De’Von Achane d. RJ Harvey (MIA 4-3)

Miami sneaks by the Broncos and heads off to the AFC Finals.

Bengals v. Texans

Ja’Marr Chase d. Nico Collins (CIN 2-0)

Tee Higgins d. Jayden Higgins (CIN 3-0)

Christian Kirk d. Andrei Iosivas (CIN 3-1)

Jaylin Noel d. Jermaine Burton (CIN 3-2)

Mike Gesicki d. Dalton Schultz (CIN wins 4-2)

Chase Brown d. Joe Mixon (CIN 5-2)

Cincy moves on to the AFC Finals to face Miami.

Bengals v. Dolphins

Ja’Marr Chase d. Tyreek Hill (CIN 2-0)...at this stage Ja’Marr is better, more dangerous than Tyreek.

Tee Higgins d. Jaylen Waddle (CIN 3-0)

Malik Washington d. Andrei Iosivas (CIN 3-1)

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine d. Jermaine Burton (CIN 3-2)...typical Bengals in this tourney, the strong 1-2 punch at the top then a big fall. Can they clinch it from here?

Darren Waller d. Mike Gesicki (3-3 tie)

De’Von Achane d. Chase Brown (MIA 4-3 wins)

The Dolphins come back from a 3-0 deficit and takes advantage of the weak Cincy depth after Chase-Higgins. Miami heads to the Super Bowl of this tourney.
