(same intro each day) I’m doing a daily series to determine what team I feel has the best pass game receivers in the NFL.

I was spurred to the idea when I saw a PFF similar ranking where they had the Eagles as the number one past game/receiver group. I knew that couldn’t be right, in my mind, so then I wondered who we might show as the best pass game/receiver team is in the NFL…maybe it is the Eagles? Thus, we’re here for a quick/fun tournament style series to determine just what team has that best receiver group in 2025.

We’re gonna start out going division by division putting matchups together based on the 2024 regular season standings. And we’re gonna go from division to the conference and onto the Super Bowl/our real winner.

How I’m going to determine a winner in a head-to-head matchup is in a best-of-seven style format, judging six different player matchups.

1) The first matchup in every series is the number one wide receiver head-to-head, BUT that battle is worth two points or two wins in the best of seven series. The number one WOR is so critical and so important that it’s worth double any other match up.

2) The #2-3-4 matchups will be the team’s wide receivers after the number 1WR. So, who I think is the second best wide receiver versus the other team second best, then a battle of the third best, and then a battle of the fourth best wide receiver to show the depth of a team’s receiver group.

3) After we pit all the wide receivers against each other -- then it’s a look at the #1 Tight Ends against each other.

4) Then, lastly, if needed, it’s a matchup of who I think is each team‘s best receiving running back.

So, a total of six matchups but the first one counting double or seven possible points or wins, and the best of seven winning team moves on to the next round/match up.

Not going to give much commentary here, just showing the results and moving the teams on. These are my personal choices, so if you don’t like it... I don’t need to say the rest.

=============================

Raiders v. Chiefs

Jakobi Meyers d. Rashee Rice (LV 2-0)...Rice is solid for production in that offense, but he’s not that great of an actual WR.

Xavier Worthy v. Jack Bech (LV 2-1)...Bech will be better than Worthy, but probably not in 2025.

Hollywood Brown d. Dont’e Thornton (2-2 tie)

Tre Tucker d. Jaylen Royals (LV 3-2)...like the Bech-Worthy matchup, Royals will be better but Tucker is underrated/better in 2025.

Brock Bowers d. Travis Kelce (LV wins 4-2)

Isiah Pacheco d. Ashton Jeanty (LV 4-3)

The Raiders move on to the AFC West Finals.

Broncos v. Chargers

Ladd McConkey d. Courtland Sutton (2-0 LAC)

Marvin Mims d. Tre Harris (2-1 LAC)

DeVaughn Vele d. Mike Williams (2-2 tie)

KeAndre Lambert-Smith d. Pat Bryant (3-2 LAC)

Evan Engram d. Oronde Gadsden (3-3 tie)

R.J. Harvey d. Omarion Hampton (4-3 DEN)

Denver moves on to face the Raiders in the AFC West finals.

Raiders v. Broncos

Courtland Sutton d. Jakobi Meyers (2-0 DEN)...it’s close, but edge to Sutton -- he has a history of being a #1/’the guy’.

Marvin Mims d. Jack Bech (3-0 DEN)

DeVaughn Vele d. Dont’e Thornton (4-0 DEN wins)

Tre Tucker d. Pat Bryant (DEN 4-1)

Brock Bowers d. Evan Engram (4-2 DEN)

R.J. Harvey d. Ashton Jeanty (5-2 DEN)

Denver sweeps through the WRs to race by the Raiders and now moves on to the AFC Final Four with Houston, Cincy, and Miami.

Next up, tomorrow, we turn to the NFC.
