(same intro each day) I’m doing a daily series to determine what team I feel has the best pass game receivers in the NFL.

I was spurred to the idea when I saw a PFF similar ranking where they had the Eagles as the number one past game/receiver group. I knew that couldn’t be right, in my mind, so then I wondered who we might show as the best pass game/receiver team is in the NFL…maybe it is the Eagles? Thus, we’re here for a quick/fun tournament style series to determine just what team has that best receiver group in 2025.

We’re gonna start out going division by division putting matchups together based on the 2024 regular season standings. And we’re gonna go from division to the conference and onto the Super Bowl/our real winner.

How I’m going to determine a winner in a head-to-head matchup is in a best-of-seven style format, judging six different player matchups.

1) The first matchup in every series is the number one wide receiver head-to-head, BUT that battle is worth two points or two wins in the best of seven series. The number one WOR is so critical and so important that it’s worth double any other match up.

2) The #2-3-4 matchups will be the team’s wide receivers after the number 1WR. So, who I think is the second best wide receiver versus the other team second best, then a battle of the third best, and then a battle of the fourth best wide receiver to show the depth of a team’s receiver group.

3) After we pit all the wide receivers against each other -- then it’s a look at the #1 Tight Ends against each other.

4) Then, lastly, if needed, it’s a matchup of who I think is each team‘s best receiving running back.

So, a total of six matchups but the first one counting double or seven possible points or wins, and the best of seven winning team moves on to the next round/match up.

Not going to give much commentary here, just showing the results and moving the teams on. These are my personal choices, so if you don’t like it... I don’t need to say the rest.

===============================

Browns v. Ravens

Zay Flowers d. Jerry Jeudy (BAL 2-0)

Cedric Tillman d. Rashod Bateman (BAL 2-1)

Diontae Johnson d. DeAndre Hopkins (2-2 tie)...these guys have fallen down in their careers, but DHop looks like he’s about done...so, Diontae steals the win.

Jamari Thrash d. Tylan Wallace (CLE 3-2)

David Njoku d. Mark Andrews (CLE wins 4-2)...may have been different facing Isaiah Likely, but Likely hasn’t had a chance to be a full starter yet.

Jerome Ford d. Justice Hill (CLE 5-2)

The Browns move on to the AFC North finals.

Bengals v. Steelers

Ja’Marr Chase d. DK Metcalf (2-0 CIN)

Tee Higgins d. Roman Wilson (3-0 CIN)

Calvin Austin d. Andrei Iosivas (3-1 CIN)

Robert Woods d. Jermaine Burton (3-2 CIN)

Pat Freiermuth d. Mike Gesicki (3-3 tie)

Chase Brown d. Jaylen Warren (4-3 CIN wins)

The Bengals sneak away with a narrow victory...exposing that they are a two-deep WR/TE group at the top then a steep fall after that. Cincy goes onto the AFC North Finals to face the Browns.

Browns v. Bengals

Ja’Marr Chase d. Jerry Jeudy (2-0 CIN)

Tee Higgins d. Cedric Tillman (3-0 CIN)

Diontae Johnson d. Andrei Iosivas (3-1 CIN)

James Thrash d. Jermaine Burton (3-2 CIN)

David Njoku d. Pat Freiermuth (3-3 tie)

Chase Brown d. Jerome Ford (4-3 CIN wins)

Same pattern as their last game...Cincy bolts to a 3-0 lead then coughs it all up and Chase Brown saves them in the finale. The Bengals move on to the AFC Final Four.

Tomorrow we do the AFC South.
