Two-time Huddle Report Top 100 board scoring champion Xavier Cromartie has released his latest 1st-round mock draft.
Xavier’s mock drafts are based upon his draft research and what his sources are communicating to him at this time -- and are not based on his personal scouting preferences. Xavier will have several Mock Drafts throughout the draft season as he works his way to the final mock draft submission for the national competition of mock draft analysts right before the 2025 NFL Draft.
1) Tennessee Titans: QB Cam Ward (Miami FL)
The pick: The Titans need a dynamic QB. I don't think Shedeur Sanders is a fit for the Titans.
2) Cleveland Browns: CB Travis Hunter (Colorado)
The pick: The Heisman winner will be a CB who takes some WR snaps.
3) New York Giants: QB Shedeur Sanders (Colorado)
The pick: There are only 2 QBs of note in this draft. The Giants have to get one of them.
4) New England Patriots: DE Abdul Carter (Penn State)
The pick: The Patriots lost the first pick but it's not a big deal since they have a QB already.
5) Jacksonville Jaguars: WR Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona)
The pick: The Jags hit big on Brian Thomas but lack other receiving options.
6) Las Vegas Raiders: RB Ashton Jeanty (Boise State)
The pick: There's no QB worth this spot, and so they build around a special RB talent.
7) New York Jets: OT Will Campbell (LSU)
The pick: The Jets always seem to need O-Line help (aside from needing to completely overhaul their organization).
8) Carolina Panthers: DE Mykel Williams (Georgia)
The pick: The Panthers need a lot of talent but edge rusher is a good place to start.
9) New Orleans Saints: DT Kenneth Grant (Michigan)
The pick: Here's a good spot for the first DT in a deep class. Grant could go before his teammate Graham.
10) Chicago Bears: OG Kelvin Banks Jr (Texas)
The pick: The Bears are pretty solid at OT, and so Banks would be a guard here.
11) San Francisco 49ers: CB Will Johnson (Michigan)
The pick: The 49ers bolster their secondary with Johnson's exceptional coverage skills and physical attributes.
12) Dallas Cowboys: DT Mason Graham (Michigan)
The pick: You could have a 2-for-1 situation with this pick, where the Cowboys get Graham and hope he motivates Mazi Smith.
13) Miami Dolphins: CB Jahdae Barron (Texas)
The pick: The Dolphins enhance their defensive backfield with Barron's versatility and knack for creating turnovers.
14) Indianapolis Colts: TE Tyler Warren (Penn State)
The pick: The Colts add depth and a new weapon in the passing game with Warren's reliable hands and blocking prowess.
15) Atlanta Falcons: OLB James Pearce Jr (Tennessee)
The pick: The Falcons improve their pass rush with Pearce's explosive speed and edge-setting ability.
16) Arizona Cardinals: WR Luther Burden III (Missouri)
The pick: The Cards inject speed and playmaking ability into their receiving corps, which is weak beyond Marvin Harrison.
17) Cincinnati Bengals: S Nick Emmanwori (South Carolina)
The pick: The Bengals strengthen their secondary with Emmanwori's hard-hitting style and coverage skills.
18) Seattle Seahawks: OG Tyler Booker (Alabama)
The pick: The Seahawks fortify their offensive line with Booker's versatility and powerful blocking.
19) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: LB Jihaad Campbell (Alabama)
The pick: The Bucs enhance their linebacker corps with Campbell's speed and tackling ability.
20) Denver Broncos: OLB Jalon Walker (Georgia)
The pick: The Broncos boost their pass rush with Walker's athleticism and versatility.
21) Pittsburgh Steelers: WR Emeka Egbuka (Ohio State)
The pick: The Steelers add a dynamic playmaker to their offense with Egbuka's route-running and catching prowess.
22) Los Angeles Chargers: TE Colston Loveland (Michigan)
The pick: The Chargers leverage the Michigan-Harbaugh connection to add a versatile tight end.
23) Green Bay Packers: CB Azareye’h Thomas (Florida State)
The pick: The Pack reinforce their secondary with Thomas's ball-hawking skills and physical coverage.
24) Minnesota Vikings: DT Tyleik Williams (Ohio State)
The pick: The Vikes strengthen their defensive line with Williams's disruptive play and ability to anchor against the run.
25) Houston Texans: DT Walter Nolen (Mississippi)
The pick: The Texans fortify their defensive front with Nolen's explosive power and run-stopping prowess.
26) Los Angeles Rams: OT Josh Simmons (Ohio State)
The pick: The Rams bolster their offensive line with Simmons's size and pass-protection skills.
27) Baltimore Ravens: DT Shemar Stewart (Texas A&M)
The pick: The Ravens enhance their defensive line with Stewart's athleticism and potential to disrupt both the run and pass.
28) Detroit Lions: S Malaki Starks (Georgia)
The pick: The Lions upgrade their secondary with Starks's range, tackling ability, and ball skills.
29) Washington: DE Mike Green (Marshall)
The pick: The team from Washington adds depth and pass-rushing talent to their defensive front.
30) Buffalo Bills: WR Matthew Golden (Texas)
The pick: The Bills enhance their receiving corps with Golden's speed and ability to create separation.
31) Philadelphia Eagles: DE Nic Scourton (Texas A&M)
The pick: The Eagles don't need anything. They always have deep lines.
32) Kansas City Chiefs: DE J.T. Tuimoloau (Ohio State)
The pick: Their plan is to have such a strong defense that Mahomes doesn't need to do anything... and it's working.
