NFL Draft week is ahead...and it’s about to get ‘lit’ on FFM...do the kids still say ‘lit’? All I know is, I’m imprisoned in my office with no days off starting NFL Draft week.

Here’s what’s coming up on FFM for NFL Draft week...

1) Video Shows Pre-Draft... DONE

We are planning at least one show, a pre-Draft discussion with a look at the betting opportunities, early in the week. We hope it will be a test of our livestream equipment for YouTube. Worst case, it will be held on Twitch. More details this weekend as to what shows and when will happen before the draft.

2) The 2024 NFL Draft Big Board DONE

Our ‘Big Board’ for the NFL Draft...approx. over 700+ players graded and then valued for the draft, economically valued, is planned to be posted 4/22 MON at the earliest, 4/23 TUE at the latest.

It will be a guide/spreadsheet you can download and search or keep track of the draft and see what our NFL Draft grades/valuations are, as you desire.

3) Video Livestream Draft Day #1-2

We will be live for all of day one and day two of the draft. Either on YouTube or Twitch...to be determined this week.

4) Notes Day #3

I’ll be watching all of Day 3 of the draft, but I’ll be using some streaming notes throughout to make quick comments on anything interesting I’m seeing worth commenting on.

No livestream planned...it’s too long a day and too little interest in an audience watching all of day three. After day two, if round four looks interesting, maybe we’ll do a round four stream. We’ll see.

5) UDFAs

UDFA scouting and tracking is so overlooked by the mainstream, when it comes to Dynasty Rookie Draft rankings, Dynasty projections with the new depth charts, and for grading a team’s total NFL Draft in general. Draft weekend we’ll be tracking all our key UDFA prospects to see their landing spots and give out some info as we get it on where they are signing.

6) DYNASTY ROOKIE DRAFT Top 300

I will start working on the DRD rankings/valuations Friday morning, after day one of the draft. And so-on the whole draft weekend. Our DRD rankings for 2024 will debut Sunday-Monday after the draft finishes Saturday and we’ll update and add to it (as we get the UDFA info) every day of the post-NFL Draft week.

I start with like a top 25-50 (with commentaries) to kick it off – and then quickly build to the top 50-100 and eventually build up to the top 300 in short order post-NFL Draft week.

We then update those DRD rankings and add more commentaries every week of the offseason until NFL regular season kickoff.

7) Dynasty and Best Ball rankings updated with all the NFL Draft changes

As fast as I can get all the rookies changed to their new teams and run/adjust all the projections up and downstream on their new rosters, etc., we will have the post-NFL Draft Dynasty and Best Ball rankings updated...likely by the end of the week from the NFL Draft.

8) Mock DRDs

As soon as the DRD top 100 rankings debut/are set (post-NFL Draft), I’ll go to work on the first of a few mock DRD series from all 12 spots. I’ll try to get those mocks with commentary/strategy out as fast as possible for those who draft quickly after the NFL Draft takes place.

9) Team Draft Grades

Also, post-NFL Draft...sometime along the way ASAP, we’ll do our NFL Draft team grades (‘what kind of draft did they have’ NFL Draft-wise).

We use our talent grades and positional valuations to grade each team’s draft, statistically...and we don’t give all ‘As’, ‘Bs’, and ‘Cs’ like the gutless NFL universe does...we grade for real, and the reality is most team drafts stink, overall. So, plenty of Ds and some Fs to go around.

This grading/report is a ‘for fun’ exercise that may take a week+ after the draft for us to do. How everyone else grades a team’s draft after day three, and doesn’t consider the UDFAs is...just sad, typical, and lacking. But they are trying to rush to the market for clicks...we’re trying to really analyze it.

 -- After the NFL Draft and DRD rankings are rolling... --

1) Our Draft Guide package 2024 work begins

As soon as we get the DRD top 300 rankings in place after the NFL Draft, the month of May is ‘draft guide’ time for me. I research and write the foundation of the 2024 draft guide package of reports all of May for late May/early June release – tens of thousands of words of commentary on 350-400+ players (eventually).

We get the base draft guide reports/rankings/commentaries out and then add to and update them all offseason, a weekly update at a minimum up to regular season kickoff.

I’ve got the vaunted overvalued and undervalued report watch list candidates ready to go...but I have to see what the NFL Draft does to the chess board of player valuations.

2) More 2024 Full Scouting Reports

Just because the NFL Draft happens, it doesn’t mean the scouting is over...it’s just begun. All offseason we’ll be doing more full scouting reports on players of interest or ones discovered that were looked past pre-draft, but they are making a name in training camps, etc.

The scouting never ends. We’re looking for opportunity under every rock and couch cushion...all offseason.

3) More and Updated Prospect Grades

As we scout more players post-NFL Draft and as we get to see them in training camps, we’ll adjust grades on some prospects and update our scouting prospect grades. We have grades before the draft, then another update/set after the draft and done before the season officially begins.

4) NEW SuperFlex Rankings

SuperFlex is the fastest growing ‘alternative’ scoring system, that people are participating in, in Fantasy play, so we’re adding SuperFlex to our ranking/valuation options for Dynasty. They are planned to debut ASAP after we process all the post-NFL Draft reports, etc.
