Just a quick little lookback/comparison of the 2022 season… We'll do a position report per day on Fantasy top 12 scoring 'splits' or trends from last season. Just as a refresher/prep leading into the 2023 preseason.

Today’s comparison: The TEs on a PPR basis.

Weeks 1-8

(min. 5 games played)

21.0 = Kelce, KC

15.2 = Andrews, BAL

12.3 = Ertz, ARI (missed 2nd-half)

12.2 = Hockenson, DET (one massive output game, and TE2 output all his other 1st-half games)

11.7 = T. Hill, NO (ditto…one massive output game, and TE2 output all his other 1st-half games)

11.7 = Kittle, SF

11.4 = Goedert, PHI (missed a big chunk of 2nd half)

11.3 = Njoku, CLE (with Brissett…faded with Watson + ankle injury)

10.7 = Freiermuth, PIT

10.1 = Conklin, NYJ

 9.9 = Everett, LAC

 9.6 = Higbee, LAR

Weeks 9-17

(min. 5 games played)

17.7 = Kelce, KC (wire-to-wire top TE…but he’s ‘old’ and ‘any ol’ TE will do’, right?)

14.1 = Hockenson, MIN (credit to TJH, the only TE in the top 5 both halves…but he made it off two monster 35+ PPR games in 2022. 35.6% of his 2022 FF pts PPR came in two games.)

14.0 = Kittle, SF (the Purdy bump)

12.2 = Engram, JAX (JAX discovered him 2nd-half…not top 12 1st-half)

12.1 = Schultz, DAL

12.0 = Kmet, CHI

11.0 = J. Johnson, NO

10.5 = Freiermuth, PIT

10.2 = Knox, BUF

 9.9 = Andrews, BAL (Lamar mostly gone 2nd-half)

 9.7 = Higbee, LAR (Stafford mostly gone 2nd-half)

*Did you notice a particular TE who was NOT in the top 12 in either half?

The great Kyle Pitts (he is great, Arthur Smith is his kryptonite)
