Mixing it up a little bit for this year's Faux -- we’re going to begin with the FULL Faux season in one published piece from national NFL Mock Draft expert Xavier Cromartie and handicapping maven Bet The Close podcast's Chris Bilello.

Xavier, Chris and I (RC) have been doing these Faux seasons for a couple years now. The rules are: everyone must finish their full season run/details and then send in without anyone seeing their work, so no one is jaded or compromised by the other’s work…my Faux season is in the books before I see their Faux's to set up for publishing.

So, here is Xavier's July 2023 season-long-through-the-playoffs projections for how he sees the perfect world playing out…

Comments on the final regular season standings:

AFC East: The QB helped the Jets' turnaround, but they also have the #1 defense. Nonetheless, the Dolphins come out on top thanks to their elite WRs.

AFC North: The AFC is overloaded compared to the NFC, creating an odd situation where 9 wins is still 4th place, yet only 1 team from the division makes the playoffs.

AFC South: Rubbish. Even the Jaguars are not very good.

AFC West: Same as any other year, but now I've adjusted to stop mathematically underrating the Chiefs.

NFC East: It's not exciting, but no one is really close to the Eagles in the weak NFC.

NFC North: While the Lions have become a serious threat, the Packers are still better than people expect.

NFC South: Nothing is happening here. Bryce Young won't change the Panthers overnight.

NFC West: The two worst teams are here, taking a salary cap recovery season.
