2022 Week 15: Packers 24, Rams 12 (Dynasty/Fantasy Analysis Game Report)

This was a real Monday night treat *insert eyeroll here*

A frozen tundra game with two weaker offenses, but Green Bay with the better offense and the more familiar with playing in the Green Bay winter cold, and GB took control of the game early and they just never let the Rams get going…and the Rams aren’t really capable of ‘getting going’, and the Pack just held control all game and won pretty easily.

Green Bay jumps to (6-8) and stays in the wild card race…one-and-a-half games out of the final wild card spot with 3 games left. Green Bay would need to win out to have a chance but they are more likely to lose out then win out. Almost no chance they win out and get to the playoffs.

The Rams fall to (4-10) with the Lions (who possess the Rams 1st-round pick) hoping LAR loses out, which they could.

*Note any fractional numbers in parentheses (4/2) or (2/3), etc., are a ‘split’ stat on our definition of a ‘quality start’ (or not) marker on a player -- using 14 PPR points in a game for RB-WR-TE and 21 for a QB…point levels that are good/productive/well above average starts for a Fantasy week. Trying to identify trends, consistency (or not) in players we might not normally realize.

A (3/2), for example, means: 3 times the player hit at/above the mark, and 2 times they did not.

Fantasy Player Notes…

-- The Packers are still alive for the playoffs, so Aaron Rodgers (22-30 for 229 yards, 1 TD/1 INT) will stay at QB for another week. As soon as the Pack is out of the playoffs, we will see Jordan Love…and that should be a downgrade, or just NOT an upgrade for the passing game.

Rodgers is a shocking (0/14) this season. Unreal. We’ll see if Jordan Love can get a quality start when he gets his shot.

-- No magic from Baker Mayfield (12-21 for 111 yards, 1 TD/1 INT) this week. It’s a bad offensive line with no run game/no RBs of note and a weak trio of WRs with all the injuries there. It’s an offense to attack with your opposing DSTs.

-- Tyler Higbee (4-27-1/5) looked like the best connection for Baker…for whatever that is worth. Baker lost emerging option Ben Skowronek to injury in this game and onto IR and gone for the year. The Rams’ receiving group has been wrecked.

-- Aaron Rodgers has turned from his veteran hands, Randall Cobb (3-32-0/4) and Allen Lazard (1-7-0/2) and is going after his rookie WRs…Romeo Doubs (5-55-0/5) and Christian Watson (4-46-0/6)…even though Watson had Jalen Ramsey on him a lot.

Message received.

Lazard played 94% of the snaps here…the most of all WRs, and he caught his lone pass a few minutes into the game and then nothing. Message received.

-- A.J. Dillon (11-36-2, 3-35-0/3) was having a great game, but got knocked out of the game partway in with concussion protocol. He cleared the protocol on Monday/quickly, so he’s good to go for Week 16…but hard to trust that he’ll get those easy TD shots again.

4 rushing TDs in his last three games for AJD…finally scoring TDs after 9 games prior with no TDs.
