Well, we might have this to look forward to next week/all season. If this is really ‘a thing’ then I cannot and will not ever trust Watson again. And if Green Bay loses their only real weapon right now... If you think this offense looked bad on Thursday night wait till you see the version without Christian Watson.
Either way, the GB crash-and-burn means we might see that the Packers trade Josh Jacobs the second his suspension is made official as they dismantle this team and look to rebuild if they lose the next few games in a row.
In ‘devastating O-Line injuries that destroy teams’ news...
-- HEADLINE: Commanders G Sam Cosmi (concussion, throat) will not play in Washington’s Week 3 game against Seattle.
Basically, the Commanders don't have a real offensive line going into this week's game... and it’s them against the best team in the NFL. And no Jayden Daniels. While Seattle gets their QB back.

Leaving Jacksonville this morning and headed for home. Barring any traffic issues, we'll have the rest of the game reports posted by the end of Saturday night.
This was a good trip overall, but I lost so many hours of work that—in-season—I simply cannot afford to lose. I'm running far behind, which means I'm rushing to get things done, and I absolutely hate that. Rest assured, I’ve watched all the games and have good notes. The things I saw, along with what Ross and Tony saw, are already reflected in the daily projections; it just takes a significant amount of time to put the game reports together. I'm trying to get my list done ASAP. As soon as I get home, I'm going to collapse for a nap, and then get right back to work.
On the health front, all my medical reports came out pretty good, aside from some anemia and a few other mild watch items. These watch items aren't related to the cancer itself, but are side effects from the pills I'm taking and the overall toll they take on my body. Predictably, my doctor jumped on me about not eating right, not getting enough exercise, and not sleeping enough to help my body recuperate.
So, when I get back, it's straight into another round of medical appointments with my local family doctor and specialists to put a plan in place for the anemia and the steroid weight gain, among other things. They want to put me on a GLP-1 because the steroids are pushing weight gain and starting to mess with my glucose. One of the risks of taking my particular cancer-fighting hormone therapies long-term is that they and the necessary counter-steroids mess with your blood sugar, potentially throwing you into diabetes even if you are cautious with your diet. However, there's a debate over whether I can even take a GLP-1: if it messes up my digestion (as it tends to do), my hormone therapies won't be absorbed properly and won't do their job fighting cancer.
I've explained it to friends and family like this: I feel like I'm in a race against time; a battle against two different, competing issues now... I'm battling the cancer with medications that carry heavy side effects, risking winning the cancer battle only to lose the side-effect race—a race I didn't think I'd have to worry about. But now I’ve moved to a ‘watch list’ for a few side things. It's stuff I can live with and will happily (maybe) put up with if it defeats the cancer, but there could be some unfun fallout from this victory.
So, Jacksonville testing week is done. Now I head home to more medical appointments next week, followed by a break for a few weeks before the next round of stuff.
We’re winning the war, but a few sidebar fronts are poking their heads up. But...onward we go. If cancer and everything else want a fight, that's exactly what they'll get.

TNF First Reactions...
-- I can’t say that I’m shocked by this Vegas upset. I bet the Falcons to win outright, but I also bet them +4.5 points as well.
It was never really close.
It’s another case of: Lose your best offensive lineman (as they did this week prior to the game), and the whole system falls to crap. Last week it was the Lions that were missing three offensive linemen, and they got pretty well blown out by the Buffalo Bills.
The next Week 3 hotspots to watch for offensive line issues, causing final score and Fantasy issues…
1) The Texans might be missing two of their top off offensive linemen this week.
2) The Saints lost Arguably their best offensive lineman in Kelvin Banks, but as/more critically than debating whether he’s the top lineman or not he’s in the critical left tackle position. Teams that lose their left tackle… It doesn’t go well for them the next week or next several weeks. FF-wise it’s hit & miss with hurry ups and garbage time (or not) being the key.
-- Green Bay booked sickly, as I’m sure you would’ve noticed if you watched the game. That’s not some stunning hot take by me. It was obvious and on display for the whole world to see. Matt LaFleur is officially on the hot seat. GB has not gotten better in years. LaFleur is to blame.
-- Michael Penix looked fine in his debut, but this was all about how bad GB is on both sides of the ball. Again, LaFleur is gonna get pinned with causing this. Rightfully so.
-- Not all is lost with Green Bay! They may be OK for Fantasy. GB will be in a lot of deficits and shootouts due to their overall issues. But they all may go with the same flow as this game...meandering for 3 quarters and then accumulation in the 4th-quarter.
-- We projected Tucker Kraft as a coming back too quickly concern and that he wouldn’t be fully himself until mid-October...and that seems to be in progress.

-- Giants LT Andrew Thomas (groin) was not seen practicing on Thursday.
Thomas left the Giants’ Week 2 game against the Rams with a groin injury. He dealt with an ankle injury in practice last week. It is possible that fill-in starter, QB Jameis Winston, will be without his top pass protector in Week 3 against the Titans. Thomas was limited yesterday. It appears as though he will be a DNP today.
THIS WOULD BE ANOTHER DEATH BLOW to a team, if Thomas is out.
-- NBC: Rams WR Puka Nacua (hip) did not practice on Thursday.
Nacua seems unlikely to play in Week 3 against the Broncos. Rams coach Sean McVay said earlier today that Nacua is “not making great progress,” and his practice participation level reflects that.
-- 49ers WR Mike Evans (hip) did not practice on Thursday (don’t be shocked if he is inactive of is very limited gameday).
-- NBC: Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday.
This is unfortunate. Smith dealt with a hamstring injury back in August, but rehabbed it successfully before the season began. The Eagles have an extra day to rest, with their Week 3 game against the Bears airing as this week’s Monday Night Football game, but he must be treated as questionable to play at this time.
-- NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Bears QB Caleb Williams (hamstring) is not expected to play in Week 3 against the Eagles.
-- NBC: Dolphins WR Chris Bell said he will play in Week 3 against the Chiefs despite being limited in practice by fluid and soreness in his knee.
Bell said the fluid and soreness have been bothering him since Week 1, but he has been pushing through it. The team is now limiting his practice reps so he can spend extra time working with the training staff. (Redraft...it’s OK to move on. The guys trying to rush back from ACLs are all struggling one-by-one for the most part).

Golden is also benefitting from the game scripts this team will be in and target consolidation they have to do with no functional WR3 on the team - he’s probably a mid-to-high WR3

My official statement from my Prostate Cancer fight media war room...
Hey everybody!
I’m live from Jacksonville just finishing up my quarterly check results.
Everything came back good/normal overall.
My PSA/cancer number is still in the undetectable range, which is great. All the vitals they monitor closely with the hormone therapies I take came back fine, too. Liver and kidney functions look good, showing no signs of any issues.
The only things ‘off’ are various blood cell counts from the radiation treatments, which can take 6-12 months to get back to normal ranges while the body repairs itself. Most of my ‘low’ counts are just slightly under the normal mark, with a mild case of anemia being the main culprit. That explains the random fatigue and brain fog I’ve been dealing with since radiation.
Otherwise, all the critical items were A+.
Every quarter the PSA stays down and shows no signs of coming back to life, my big-picture odds improve that much more.
Another year or so of meds and quarterly checks, and if those stay clean, it’s on to the big test: coming off ALL meds and therapies to see if this is totally beaten. Still grinding toward that day.

The intro and the ‘Three Things’ from all the Sunday games will be published Monday.
The ‘Five Players’ part will be published Tuesday.
There’s always so much to discover from Monday into Tuesday for free agency/waivers and with injury info more coming on Tuesday that I’m going to test breaking this into two parts instead of virtually ‘killing myself’ to pen a 7,000-9,000+ word Sunday review/next week overview only to have the player transaction part/guidance get blown up and reordered by information that comes out on Tuesday.
I'm traveling to Jacksonville for the first half of Monday, so let's test this two-part version of the report this week.

I’ve got a ton to say about Week 2, and I’ll save it for the Executive report Part I.
Several notes and links to stuff below from Sunday.
But today I am headed to Jacksonville for Round 2 of my quarterly checks process on my cancer battle.
I’ll be driving to JAX the first half of the day. So, these RC notes will (hopefully) be out early. And the Executive Report Part One out around 6-7pmET, I would guess.
Tuesday is a series of tests and then Wednesday I meet with my oncologist and the radiation team to go over the results and to see how things are going for me otherwise day-to-day and a reevaluation of my meds, etc.
The big thing for me to find out Wednesday is: Is the cancer still being crushed (likely) or is it trying to make a comeback, is there any medical/physiological sign it is ‘on the move’ (less likely, but not impossible).
If I’m still ‘undetectable’...we move on peacefully to the next quarter visit in December, and a good result this week means 2026 is going to end one of the most memorable years of my life on a high note. No matter what these $%$&%#$$@ Fantasy players on our various teams do, they won’t have won the full calendar year 2026.
If there is detection of a ‘comeback attempt’ by the cancer, and my PSA number is re-rising then I to start weighing options for a different type of treatment to try re-confuse/defeat the cancer.
Every time I rack up another quarterly ‘undetectable’ then my odds of a cancer-free label (although you’re never truly ‘free’) and my longevity projections tick up another notch.
Eventually, if I keep winning...hopefully later 2027, they will take me off of everything and see what the cancer does in response. If nothing, I could be declared cancer free (of sorts, still need to monitor) in late 2027 or sometime in 2028. If the cancer makes a comeback effort between now and then...it’s time for a new round, new kinds of therapies and new battlefront and a setback for more years of meds/therapies/checks--but as long as we keep smacking it down, it is what it is.
So, I appreciate the well-wishes and especially prayers, for those inclined, that we get another good report card this week. My mind will be at ease for another quarter/to the (near) end of the FF season.
