Nacua did not practice for the second consecutive day Saturday, prompting the questionable designation for Monday Night Football. The issue is now being called a groin ailment and is reportedly unrelated to the psoas injury he dealt with during the offseason.
Jordan Whittington is also banged up/doubtful.
Rams would lean on the multi-TE offense + Davante Adams...and Konata Mumpfield would be my ‘guess’ bet over Tutu Atwell after that, for FF. Atwell will see time. Xavier Smith would see time.
I’d watch for WRs Alex Bachman getting elevated, and/or Brennan Pressley 4pmET deadline today as tells on how bad the situation is.

Injury Severity & Medical Consensus Medical experts and fantasy doctors (including Dr. David Chao, Dr. Jesse Morse, and Jeff Mueller) evaluated the brutal third-quarter hit from Arizona's Mack Wilson Sr., where McConkey took direct, forceful contact to his left flank/lower rib cage.
The Diagnosis: Ruled primarily as a severe rib contusion / possible cartilage or hairline fracture without internal organ complications. Initial sideline fears of spleen damage or a pneumothorax (collapsed lung) were cleared once Jim Harbaugh labeled him day-to-day rather than placing him on IR or keeping him hospitalized.
Functional Impact: Rib injuries for receivers are purely about pain tolerance and rotational torque. The primary hurdles are full arm extension on high catches, rotational torque through breaks, and breathing mechanics under cardiovascular fatigue.
Week 2 Playing Likelihood: ~50-60% (Game-Time Decision / True Questionable)
Practice Progression: After DNP designations on Wednesday and Thursday (where he was isolated working with trainers off to the side), McConkey returned in a limited capacity on Friday and is officially listed as Questionable against the Raiders.

He carries substantial in-game reinjury or flare-up risk if he takes another direct shot to the torso.
2026 Season Outlook & Timeline to Full Clearance
Weeks 2–3 (Pain Management Phase): Even if he suits up, wide receivers playing through rib fractures/severe contusions historically suffer a 15% to 25% dip in efficiency and per-route target volume over the initial 2 to 3 weeks due to hesitation in traffic and limited mobility.
Weeks 4–5 (Full Healing & Clearance): Rib bone bruises and non-displaced fractures typically take 3 to 5 weeks to ossify and fully heal without residual pain.
Rest of Season (ROS): Once past Week 4, rib injuries carry virtually zero chronic structural risk or long-term mobility impairment (unlike hamstring strains or joint issues). His season-long WR1 status in Mike McDaniel's Chargers offense remains intact for the fantasy stretch run.

-- I think we pretty much all saw this coming. The opening game at the new stadium plus the lions having a broken offensive line to go with their broken defensive secondary... And the Buffalo Bills are feeling it under their new regime. Nobody is stunned by this. I bet the bills and laid the points as did many of you. It's gonna fund my coffee this morning.
-- You gotta give credit to the Detroit Lions. With all the factors going against them and getting down so big so fast they never gave up they kept grinding, the Bills let off the gas pedal a little bit, and the Lions we're starting to make it interesting in the fourth quarter--but the Bills were a team of destiny this night.
-- Both of these teams have wobbly defenses and solid offenses, so their teams are going to yield a lot for fantasy football this season.
-- The DJ injury throws an interesting wrinkle into this, depending on how long he's down, to see where exactly we go to find the beneficiaries outside of Dalton Kincaid. He’s finally tearing it up--now that I have mostly moved on in the offseason.
You can't win them all, you can't get them all right, you can't roster everybody you kinda like. I'm just glad Kincaid is finally healthy and coming into his own starting to fulfill all the scouting vision we had for him.
It's important to me to get the scouting right, but the timing of it is up to God. Actually, he's the blame for my scouting chops as well.

I totally disrespected Andy Reid and the Chiefs Nation going into this game...didn’t think they stood a chance. I apologize. I was way wrong. They beat the living $ out of the Broncos. That was probably more embarrassing than the Rams loss to the 49ers...on the same par.
KC really is going to become a run team. Good for the RBs. Bad for the pass game, for FF. Denver’s defense was collapsing late last year, and then they got embarrassed by a telegraphed run game and a ‘walk-on’ LT means we could see a Vance Joseph firing sometime in-season.
I thought KC would be in a minor rebuild with Mahomes not 100% for a bit, and they would fight for last place in the AFC West. Now, I have to wonder if Denver and LAC will be fighting for last place.
KC may have a better D now than Denver...or just they had the opening week energy.
KC may have not only rebuilt their team in 6 months, but they may have sunk the Rams by dumping their expensive, overrated corners on them this offseason.
I bow down to Andy Reid. He is the best coach in this division. I pick KC now to win this division after one whole week of play.

-- I’m not going to dive deep into things from Sunday here. There’s too much to analyze and I’m gonna start that with the huge Executive Summary later today. So, below I have a lot of things I found interesting posted in the universe from football Sunday.
I will say two things as a primer...
1) The single highest scoring Week 1 in the history of our tracking, collectively across FFM tracking...in all platforms: Dynasty, Redraft, Best Ball. Some all-time records set for scoring in a week with a few tracking leagues. The win rate was great, but you’d think much higher with the scoring, but scoring was up all over for a week and I don’t know how people found a way to play the high scoring team for their week, but they did.
Don’t lament whether you won or lost--it’s about you actual and potential scoring. I’ll explain deeper on the Executive Report.
2) I kinda killed it betting this week. I new I had this week figured out, in general...felt great about it...but I know there will be weeks I’m lost and sit out or reach. This week...wonderful.
My best bet lost because Houston’s DB dropped the game winning INT. My next 3 best bets hit. Blazing Five is 3-1 going into Denver +3 tonight.
All picks ‘meh’ 7-7-1 going into tonight.
