Using the rosters as they are as of mid-May (version 1.0), obviously everyone is healthy in this simulation, and we run our data to the new NFL schedule to see 'what happens' (in our world) and taking the win-loss record projections right through the playoffs for an eventual title winner projection.
This will be a series -- three weeks of regular season results at a time released daily with some light commentary, up to the playoffs where we will publish a round at a time playoff results until a Super Bowl winner is declared.
In reality, when the first key injury happens to any team -- throw all these projections in the trash. But we are using this as a guide looking for over/under win total bets, especially 'unders' -- if a team's projected win total isn't close to their Vegas O/U line fully healthy…then there might be handicapping opportunity there.
Notes from the Faux season-to-date...
-- Best records in Faux 2026 through 9 weeks...the Bears and Rams at (7-2).
LAC at (6-2) is the AFC best.
-- The issues for Arizona continue...now (0-9).
-- The Patriots (6-3) take the AFC East lead over BUF (5-3)
-- Cincy (5-3) holds the AFC North lead but BAL (4-5) and PIT (3-5) are starting to wake up.
-- The Colts (6-3) continue to hold onto the AFC South lead over HOU (5-3)
-- LAC (6-2) has taken over 1st place in the AFC West, and DEN (6-3) moves into second, sending KC to (5-3) to 3rd place.
-- No one wants the NFC East! NYG (4-4) is holding on to first but all the teams behind them are within a half, full, or 1.5 games behind all under .500 records.
-- The strongest division/most wins so far is the NFC North with CHI (7-2) leading the big beneficiaries of an easier schedule = DET (6-2).
-- The Saints (6-2) are having a nice start and lead the NFC South over TB (5-4).
-- LAR (7-2) leads the NFC West, but SF (6-2) and SEA (6-3) are right there in the hunt.
