(same intro every day) Using the rosters as they are as of August (version 2.0), obviously everyone is healthy in this simulation, and we run our data to the new NFL schedule to see 'what happens' (in our world) and taking the win-loss record projections right through the playoffs for an eventual title winner projection.
This will be a series -- three weeks/games of regular season results at a time released daily with some light commentary, up to the playoffs where we will publish a round at a time playoff results until a Super Bowl winner is declared.
In reality, when the first key injury happens to any team -- throw all these projections in the trash. But we are using this as a guide looking for over/under win total bets, especially 'unders' -- if a team's projected win total isn't close to their Vegas O/U line fully healthy…then there might be handicapping opportunity there.
Weeks 1-3
-- Buffalo, Miami, and New England get out of the gates at (2-1)...while the Jets go winless in the AFC East.
-- The Ravens (3-0) start out undefeated with a one-game lead in the AFC North over Cincy and Pitt, both of them are (2-1). The Brownies are (0-3).
-- The Texans (2-1) take the early AFC South lead. The Titans pickup where they left off in 2024...they begin (0-3).
-- The AFC West has a 3-way tie at the top at (2-1) between who you’d think...LAC, Denver, and KC.
-- A three-way tie atop the NFC East to begin the campaign...Philly, Commanders, and Cowboys all (2-1)...the Brian Daboll firing inches ever closer with an (0-3) start.
-- Another three-way tie in a division...this one in the NFC North at (2-1) for GB-DET-MIN.
-- Another three-way tie division in the NFC South with a twist...all (1-2) are TB-ATL-CAR. The Bucs are programmed to be without key LT Tristan Wirfs for a few games to start the season.
-- We finish with a 4-way tie in the NFC West, all (2-1) in the division.
-- The NYJ, NYG, CLE, NO, and TEN...all start out (0-3).
-- Baltimore (3-0) is the only undefeated team after three games.
