Week 18 will be a completely different schedule for the usual regular season week, for a variety of reasons...that I’ll get into in a moment.
My main priority for this work week is to focus on all the crazy Week 18 things, for FF and betting. There are those of you with a Week 18 title game, or it is a Part II (or III) of a 2-week title tally, or you play in a season-long tally of points league. Whatever your reason for needing Week 18...I’m here for it!
What I’ll be most focused on this week:
-- I want Week 18 critical teams to WIN IT ALL, so I’ll be hustling all the info I can to get the projections as on point/great as possible...having to figure out what teams are playing usual players or sitting starters or giving rookies/young players a shot, etc. Plus, we have all the ‘who is playing for what contract incentives’ scenarios. Not to mention we get deeper into weird weather potentials as we hit January.
-- Get the initial waivers plan together for whomever needs it for Tuesday night.
It’s a fluid situation all week because so many players will be put on IR and players elevated from practice squads and likely a few surprise QBs getting starts. So, we’ll do our best for Tuesday to kick it off and then monitor/update it all week.
-- A great Prop betting year continues into closing out the regular season with Week 18 props...a tricky week to figure out who is playing and how much they are playing, etc. If there’s slick Props hiding out there, I will find them!
We’ll be monitoring the lines all week, and we likely won’t see much of anything to work with until THU-FRI+, as there is no TNF game this week...a few games on SAT., the bulk on SUN, then one on MON that surely will be GB at DET.

My Week 18 plan...
*MONDAY 12/30* = Taking this day totally off, after 6amET approx. RC Notes publishing first thing in the morning, then I hit the road. It will be my first day off in months.
I’m driving down to Florida all day to do a late Christmas with my son and daughter in law, then my son and I are going out for the first time to watch an entire football game together, while also betting on it and DFS-ing it.
My son has caught the Fantasy bug this year...and has discovered the joy of DFS. So, we’re gonna eat some good sports bar type food and try to pay for said food with our DFS winnings! And I will be like a real, normal human being and have a near entire day off!
NO Executive Report this Monday. I’ll do Week 17 game notes in various pieces in RC’s notes or special reports throughout the week.
*Ross Jacobs will be filling in to do some game report/game scouting of some Week 17 games of interest all this week...such as the Michael Penix start #2 review (I will have my thoughts on it as well)
*TUESDAY 12/31* = Working 1st-half of day on projections and waivers info...out by the afternoon.
NO Tuesday night waivers show, as it is New Year’s Eve! And not many FF-teams still playing in Week 18 anyway.

What’s coming up on FFM after Week 18? Football never sleeps...
-- The NFL playoffs are upon us, and as usual, I will do a game report for every playoff game, culminating with our Super Bowl extravaganza write up.
Also, we will have NFL playoff FF player projections for each week, for those who are playing in such leagues/tournaments/pools/DFS, etc.
-- All NFL playoffs, of course, we will be doing our Prop betting action for the members of the FFM Betting group members/syndicate.
-- We plan to have our Bet The Close podcast shows with Chris and Andrew every week for the playoffs as well.
-- The first 2025 NFL Draft scouting reports will hit after Week 18...maybe about a week after/middle January. Somewhere around January 10-13th, I hope to start dropping them on our usually daily (5-6-7x a week) basis.
-- We’ll probably do our annual Postseason Awards tournament...for MVP, ROY, COY, DPOY.
-- Our annual Senior Bowl preview scouting of all the prospects (except OLs) and coverage of the Senior Bowl week will be out 2nd-half of January.
-- We should see Ross Jacobs doing his usual East-West preview scouting as well.
-- Dynasty Stash updates. I usually update that report every week after the playoff weekend, just to keep it fresh and add some more names and write more verbiage.
-- The 2025 top 600 Dynasty Rankings will debut after the Super Bowl...probably mid-February+ range. The rankings, as always, are updated weekly throughout the offseason. I start my one-a-day team studies for this in mid-January, after all the new coaches are in place, etc.
