Using the FantasyPros platform to go through the latest DRD scenarios before the preseason begins and changes up things.
Five rounds, 12-team, PPR mindset.
Three mocks per report over 4 days from each of the 12 slots.
Just showing my picks, not the whole sha-bang.
1.10: WR Ladd McConkey, LAC = Could’ve gone Blake Corum if RB was more of a need...or Benson, Wright (esp. if Achane is with you).
2.10: RB Jaylen Wright, MIA = Wow...this-is-awesome...when JW falls.
3.10: RB Braelon Allen, NYJ = RB strong like bull.
4.10: WR Jordan Whittington, LAR = Might be 3-for-3 on this report for Whittington taken by me in the 4th.
5.10: WR Jha’Quan Jackson, TEN = Carson Steele taken ahead of me...his ADP is flying up/catching up with reality.
1.11: RB Trey Benson, ARI = Just to be different, I took Benson here. Could’ve gone Corum but just mixed up a bit to show acceptable options.
2.11: RB Jaylen Wright, MIA = Man, the love for Wright is slipping a bit in the world. I am there to catch the falling knife.
3.11: RB Tyrone Tracy, NYG = Passed on McCaffrey to take Tracy, to show alternatives in the 3rd. Braelon already gone.
4.11: RB Dylan Laube, LV = Whittington taken right before me. I’ll keep the RB theme going.
5.11: RB Carson Steele, KC = Let’s end it with five RBs taken in 5 picks. One or two of them has to work out, no?
1.12: RB Jaylen Wright, MIA = Just to be different, and show options...
I could draft Wright up this high if I (a) was a super-strong believer and/or (b) I had Achane or Mostert. Nothing wrong with a reach like this...because he is not likely to be there next pick.
2.12: QB Michael Penix, ATL = Let’s do a ‘reach’ draft. If you believed in Penix strongly and/or you have Cousins...especially if you have Cousins, you can make this pick way ahead of ADP.
3.12: RB Tyrone Tracy, NYG = Braelon gone, I’ll take Tracy. Could’ve reached for Malik Washington if I owned Tyreek Hill, as some kind of minor hedge.
4.12: WR Jordan Whittington, LAR = I’m not reaching here, I won’t pass this up...coulda reached by taking him 3rd-round if I had Cooper Kupp and was a huge believer in Whitt.
5.12: RB Blake Watson, DEN = A long shot dart throw on my eyes telling me – Watson may be the most talented RB the Broncos have among their pretty ‘mid’ group of RB talent.
