We’re getting closer and closer to the 2023 NFL Draft…and thus the 2023 Dynasty Rookie Drafts (DRD) are rapidly approaching, as is our version 1.0 of the top 300 (including IDPs) DRD prospect rankings.

The past week+, I started a 7-part series on building a top 12 Dynasty Rookie Draft board/rank/valuation…a position-by-position look at the prospects worthy of making the top 12 -- culminating in the actual selection/ranking of our current top 12 with commentary on why these prospects are ranked where they are and comparing them to what the mainstream top 12 rankings are…because our top 12 is WILDLY different. Example: Bijan Robinson is not our #1 rated DRD prospect. We’ll explain why in our reports.

After I construct our Dynasty Rookie Draft pre-NFL Draft top 12 and compare it to the mainstream top 12, I will also do a special mock draft/rank of the 2023 DRD top 12 mixed with the 2022 rookies, as we know them today, to compare and debate whether we should be trading 1st-round picks and acquiring ‘yesterday’s news’ 2022 rookies for our draft picks.

At the same time, while I’ve been focusing on that special 7-part DRD series, I’ve also been focusing my deeper study scouting projects on RB and WR prospect names outside the consensus top names at each position…those that I haven’t done a deeper dive on this year yet, but those that our computer models are showing some cause to look deeper -- mid-range (to the mainstream) prospects like: Jonathan Mingo, Israel Abanikanda, Michael Wilson, Deneric Prince, Chris Rodriquez, Trey Palmer, among others.

And in-between those scouting studies, I’ve been going through all the Pro Day results and tape and loading the data into our computer scouting models to see what hidden gems are out there among those prospects who didn’t get an invite the NFL Combine…there’s always, at least, one or two critical finds for late-round Dynasty Rookie Draft considerations. We’ll be studying and reporting out on the Pro Day potentials and deep sleeper, late-round NFL Draft prospects all offseason…the scouting doesn’t end with the NFL Draft. Our first deep sleeper draft prospect report was published this week on Fort Valley State RB prospect Emanuel Wilson.

It's a busy scouting and information month for Dynasty GMs to evaluate the dilemma/opportunity of trading away or acquiring draft picks BEFORE the NFL Draft, and/or AFTER -- but you have to know the REAL value of these players and compare that to the mainstream valuations, so that you can take advantage of your Dynasty league mates, who are following all the copycat mainstream drivel.

Now is the perfect time to wheel-and-deal…pre-NFL Draft. Don’t get left behind, or worse -- get caught running off a cliff with the hive mind information/generic ChatGPT scouting out there and thus making terrible deals and then making wasted/empty DRD picks.
