FFM Twitter Announcement…

We’re going to be changing/upping our Twitter game this season.

I’m not a fan of Twitter the company, but I acknowledge it is a good-great way to get news and information out…the best global platform for such things, and we have subscribers all over the globe -- some of the countries where FFMers are at is shocking to me. There’s a lot of garbage on Twitter…but there’s also a ton of news access and breaking news instantly and great general information there -- and we (Twitter users) can control much of what we see/don’t wanna see from Twitter. It’s a powerful platform when you utilize it to its fullest.

At minimum, Twitter is a good way for businesses and artists to keep interested followers informed of things. I should have been more diligent doing the Twitter basics, but of the 100,000 things that I am doing each day between reading reports, writing reports, watching tape, working on stat projections and valuation, and answering emails/questions…messing with Twitter is easy for me to put off until a get a free minute…and I never have a free minute.

Recognizing this void, a friend of FFM (FOFFM?) who has a background and passion in Social Media/Analytics/Fantasy Football (especially DFS) reached out to me and offered to assist in bringing our Twitter game up to speed…to help FFM better leverage this free notification tool for subscriber benefit. And I agree -- and thus our Twitter ‘game’ is about to improve.

What’s going to change…

1) FOFFM Andrew Duhan is going to be executing a new Twitter plan -- his design/plan/effort. A big thank you in advance to Andrew!

2) We’re not going for Twitter mic drop moments and engaging in tiffs with the Twitterverse on everything we tweet. We’re simply trying to put out information about FFM things.

Mostly we’re tweeting about a new, key report or article released or an interesting stat/fact tweet project that I’ve always wanted to put out there -- I got a lot of ‘things/tibbits that make you go hmmm’ stats or facts that I stumble into, and I always thought they’d be interesting daily releases, little data snacks. We’ll be releasing my pet project through Twitter -- if you’d be interested to see them, if you follow (or are already a follower of) FFM on Twitter (fantasyfootballmetrics or @ffmetrics), and if you also have Twitter notifications enabled -- our tweets (just 1-2-3 a day, not planning on living on there) will pop to your phone/device as we tweet them.

3) I will mostly not be looking at the comments/reactions to the tweets because it will take me down a rabbit hole and take me away from the work I need to do. So, if you respond to a tweet or ask a question of me/FFM on Twitter…I probably won’t see it, but Andrew will -- and he may respond on behalf of FFM.

So, in summary -- more Twitter FFM notifications or notes coming, and Andrew Duhan is a saint to take over this project, and follow us on Twitter if you’d like to see the activity.
